Dental treatment of overly fearful patients of every age
Anesthesia - general anesthesia at the dental practice
Before we begin dental treatment under anesthesia, we perform a detailed preliminary consultation with the patient as well as a gentle and careful examination. If no contraindications exist, the therapy appointment under anesthesia is scheduled in consultation with our anesthesiologist.
Our anesthesiologist commences the general anesthesia with a sleep-inducing agent. After the patient has been placed in a sleep-like state, the anesthesiologist places the breathing tube, with which the respiration as well as the inflow of narcotic gas and oxygen will be regulated. Consciousness and pain sensation are blocked during the anesthesia.
During the treatment under anesthesia our anesthesiologist continuously monitors the health status of the patient. Toward the end of the treatment the narcotic agent is gradually reduced. When the patient wakes up, all work has been completed and he can leave the practice after a short time with a companion. Dental treatment or dental restoration is completed without any kind of stress for the patient.
